# For Passive Stakers

**Also good to know**: Staking the native asset of a young chain poses risks. If you want to stake your tokens, your value will be locked inside the protocol for at least 32 days(currently, might be subject to change). This timespan is defined by the Taraxa protocol, and Lara has no way to go around it. Stake with caution!

## How to simply stake with Lara

Go to our [Staking page](https://tlara.xyz/stake), connect your EVM-compatible wallet, switch to the Taraxa mainnet, and stake the amount you desire.

### What you will receive from Lara

Once Lara registers your funds, you'll get the equivalent `st[TARA]` minted to your wallet. When you accrue staking rewards, your balance will simply tick up, without a transaction. Oh, and it compounds. Simple as that :relaxed:.
